Featured Snippets pull a paragraph, list, or table from one of the top ten organic results and display it above all other results. They're awarded based on how cleanly content answers a query — clear question phrasing, concise answer paragraph (40–60 words), structured headings, lists where appropriate. Snippets can drive significant traffic but also cause zero-click searches when the snippet fully answers the question.
When optimizing for a Featured Snippet, we structure FAQ-style content with the question as an H2 or H3 followed by a concise answer paragraph. Tables for comparisons, ordered lists for steps. The clearer the structure, the higher the snippet eligibility.
