Drupal
Open-source PHP content management system known for complex content modeling, multilingual delivery, and strong adoption in government, education, and large institutional sites.
In long form.
Drupal is an enterprise-grade open-source CMS, distinguished from WordPress by deeper content modeling capabilities, a stricter content-type system, and built-in support for multilingual delivery and access workflows. It's widely deployed in U.S. federal and state government, higher education, and large nonprofit and association sites where content relationships and editorial workflow are more complex than what WordPress handles natively. Current major version is Drupal 11 (2024).
When a state agency or large institution buyer comes to Nessim Works with complex content modeling needs — taxonomies, relationships, multilingual delivery, access workflows — Drupal is often the right fit. The DMV state government sector has long-standing Drupal investments; we work both Drupal builds and Drupal-to-modern-stack migrations.
